In honor of Mother’s Day weekend, Interfaith Paths to Peace will be hosting a discussion titled Mother Wisdom Speaks: The Presence of the Sacred Feminine. The discussion will center around how feminine roles within our diverse religious and spiritual traditions, directly and indirectly, impact us in times of crisis and change. The conversation will be facilitated by Rabbi Nadia Siritsky and include women representatives from diverse religious traditions including the Baháʼí Faith.
Interfaith Paths to Peace (IPP) is a grassroots community peace organization, with a mission of promoting interfaith understanding through programming and events. The Louisville Baháʼí Community is proud to have been asked by IPP to participate as one of the panelists for this event. The equality of men and women is one of the fundamental principles of the Baháʼí Faith as illustrated by the following Baháʼí quote, “The world of humanity has two wings—one is women and the other men. Not until both wings are equally developed can the bird fly. Should one wing remain weak, flight is impossible.”
This special Mother’s Day weekend event will be hosted on Saturday, May 9th at 10 am EST on the IPP Zoom account below:
