The Ascension of Bahá'u'lláh commemorates the anniversary of the death of the founder of the Bahá'í faith, Bahá'u'lláh, Who passed away in the early hours of 29 May 1892. His burial site in Bahji, Isreal is a shrine and serves as the most sacred pilgrimage site for the Baháʼís of the world. This solemn anniversary is a day of rest, and is often observed by reading or chanting from the scriptures and performing service projects. The Louisville Baháʼí community will be observing the holy day early morning (3:15am EST) on May 29th and welcome anyone who wants to join in fellowship.
