The Louisville Baháʼí community will be observing the holy day at 11:45 pm on November 26th. The Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá commemorates the anniversary of the death of center of Bahá'u'lláh’s (Prophet founder of the Baháʼí Faith) covenant, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá passed away on November 28, 1921. He was dearly respected and revered around the world for his service to humanity and his fervent advocacy for peace and unity; knighted by the British Empire for his work feeding the poor and averting famine in Palestine during World War I.
