A public presentation of author Farsheed Ferdowsi’s book Under the Staircase will be held on the University of Louisville’s Belknap Campus in the Student Activi-

ties Center’s Floyd Theater, Saturday, January 21. Doors open

at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m.

A reception and book-signing will follow the presentation. A flyer is included with this newsletter so that you may invite your friends and associates.

The book tells the story of Mr. Ferdowsi’s father, Fatollah Ferdowsi, who was executed by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1982 for his refusal to recant his faith to save his life. The author includes the political history of Iran, the cultural history of Persia in general, and the history of the Bahá’í Faith—three rich threads that run through the book.

This is an excellent opportunity to invite friends who are interested in world affairs and human rights issues.
